Genus AI Secures $6 Million in Seed Round Extension, Totaling $11 Million in Funding to Revolutionize E-commerce with Generative AI
Genus AI, a prominent generative AI platform catering to Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) and e-commerce brands, has successfully secured an additional $6 million in a seed round extension, elevating the company’s total seed funding to a substantial $11 million. This infusion of capital comes from a diverse group of investors, including a leading US social media platform, Aleph Group Inc. – an ecosystem of global digital experts and technology-driven solutions for digital marketing, as well as strategic angel investors like Kazuki Ohta, Co-Founder & CEO of Treasure Data; Magnus Lundin, Founder of Heep Agency; Tomas Slimas, Co-Founder of Oberlo (acquired by Shopify), among others.
Genus AI’s latest funding milestone solidifies its position as a frontrunner in the provision of generative AI solutions for direct-to-consumer and e-commerce brands. These solutions are specifically tailored to enhance growth across various social channels such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, and Pinterest. In its journey to secure this funding, the company had previously garnered support from prominent Venture Capital firms and Angel investors both in Europe and the US, including Picus Capital, Transamerica Ventures, Maschmeyer Group Ventures, HDI, and more.
With this financial boost, Genus AI plans to channel resources into fortifying its Go-to-Market (GTM) infrastructure while expanding and enhancing the platform with additional integrations and features. This strategic move builds upon the company’s existing leadership role as a pioneer in the generative advertising realm, particularly for e-commerce applications.
Dr. Tadas Jucikas, CEO of Genus AI, highlighted the transformative power of artificial intelligence for brand growth and customer engagement. He emphasized the company’s commitment to democratizing this rapidly evolving AI technology and making it accessible to brands of all sizes. Genus AI’s track record speaks for itself, having generated over 10 million product images for prominent e-commerce and D2C brands such as Parks Project, Annie Selke, Awe Inspired, Peter Thomas Roth, and others in the current year.
Notably, the Genus AI platform recently unveiled an array of capabilities, including product catalog feed generation for Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, X, and TikTok. These offerings complement the platform’s existing features, encompassing copy, video, and audience generation—a testament to Genus AI’s evolution since its inception in 2017.
